My Report On Making Paper Planes

Prediction :

 I think that the bigger the wings on a plane the further it will go because it can glide further

Hypothesis :

The bigger the wings the better it will glide

Methods :

I made a normal paper plane with bigger wings and this is what it looked like

But we didn't use it we used one from the other people in my team

Results :

It was very straight but it didn't go that far it went at least five tables far out of eight

Cars Week Three

We got sand paper from mr cain it was sarahs idea to get it

We put the sand paper down on the track to stop it at the line but our car went off corse and missed the sand paper

How To Make A Vortex Canon With A Bucket Or A Box

There are two ways to make a vortex cannon the first way is the easiest it uses the box

Materials needed

• Box
• Scissors or crafting knife
• A way to get smoke in it

Method

Cut a hole in the box with the crafting knife or scissors

Get the smoke in the box

Make sure the box only has one way out were the hole is

To make the cannon work hit the sides and the smoke should shoot out

The second way uses 

• A bucket
• A plastic bag 
• Tape
• And a way to cut a hole
• And a way to make some smoke

Method

Cut a hole in the bucket with the thing you chose to cut the hole but don't make the hole to big

With the big hole there already is use the plastic bag and put it over the big hole and tape it so nothing but the hole you made lets out the smoke 

Put the smoke in it and hit the plastic bag and the smoke the shoot out try make a stack of  plastic cups fall down

Physics Of Car Racing

What I tried today- why I tried it: My group and I tried to stick a balloon to the car, we were hoping that it would make the car go faster but slow it down in the end.

What happened when I tried to race it? When I tried to race it, it didn't spin around, it didn't go sideways, the car went straight and it stopped pretty close to the line.

What will I try next time? Next time I would try to change it more, and to research more ideas about how to make our car better.

What research did I do? I researched 'how to make a toy car go faster', it didn't really come up with anything helpful. All of the ideas that the sites gave me were to add batteries, or to add a fan on it.

Our car keeps turning sideways once it hits the bottom of the ramp.

-What is causing the problem?
Luke- The ramp might be a bit uneven.
Sarah- Maybe because it's going down too fast.

-What do you plan to correct it?
Luke- Make the ramp even on both sides.
Sarah- Add blue tack or paper to the car.
